A Story
I came across this story and I really liked it.
It has a good point.
Once there were these two angels, one older and the other younger.
they were traveling through the world in physical bodies on an errand of the Lord's.
They came to a rich man's house and asked if they could stay the night, the rich man said yes and he had his butler take them down to the basement and gave them mats to sleep on.
while they were down there the older angel noticed a hole in the wall he went over to it and repaired the hole (the younger angel watched and said nothing)
the next day they headed out again and they came to a poor man's house, they asked if they could stay the night and the poor man said yes.
He gave them his own bed to sleep in and he and his wife slept on the floor, and they gave what little food they had for them to eat.
the next morning the angels woke up and the poor man's cow was dead.
Now the younger angel said to the older angel why did you not save the poor man's cow?!
And why did you, the other night, repair the hole in the wall at the house of the rich man?!
the older angel said all is not as you see it.
the other night I looked into the hole at the rich man's house and saw that there was treasure in it, and being already rich he needed no more.
so I covered the hole.
Last night the angel of death came and asked for the life of the poor man's wife.
I gave him their cow instead.
Even if things are going bad (in our eyes) things will always work out the way God planned it to work out, even if we see it as "Bad" (losing the cow) it can be "Good" (saving the wife)
All is not always as we see it.
